Healing The Past-Liberating The Present And Future

Healing The Past

For most of us the past is very present, attitudes and responses more often than not mirror our learning and conditioning as a child growing up, and much of it is unconscious.

Have you ever drove to a destination 5, 10 or even 20 miles away and when you got there you can’t remember the actual drive, you were busy talking to a passenger or on the your cell phone, so focused on other things you don’t remember the drive but your subconscious mind knew exactly how to get you to your destination.

Children are free of a past until they begin to accumulate experiences their lack of conditioning allows them extraordinary imaginative and creative freedom their spontaneity not yet conditioned away.

Ever notice how a baby or very young child know people who like them and those that don’t they are still sensitive to their environment open to feeling and naturally respond to those felling that they pick up all around them. In that sense they are still emotionally free and intuitively alive and responsive.

Most people who grow up in a culture such as ours at some point begin to abandon them self.

What we abandon is feeling the feeling process is how a child that has not yet developed a critical mind or visual perspective of reality reads their environment. Feeling is what tells them what is safe and what is not, this feeling process includes smell, taste and over all sensual feelings.

As we grow up we often feel like something is missing some feel and believe that they are aliens, others feel a sense of disconnection. There are of course many reasons for this disconnection from the central core of our being this center is connected to the memory of who we are where we come from and gives us continual clues and intuitions about our current experience in this reality. We were not born empty, as many would have us believe we are not blank slates needing programming and conditioning, we were born with a natural integrity and connection to the Universe.

Can you imagine the seed of the oak or tomato plant loosing its connection with is primary direction, the seed would either not produce or would create something divergent from it natural intent.

The process of return is not and easy one, by the time many of us decide to investigate into who we are we have already been conditioned by many cultural beliefs and most often religious dogma. We become so ingrained in our beliefs that we often feel that to give up a belief feels like dying. Some will protect there beliefs to the death, the individual has not yet realized that there beliefs are like the software in a computer and not who they are in there essential self.

Much of the software for the mind and downloads that we have taken on are dysfunctional. Our present reality with all of its problems is a result of our collective beliefs and responses to the world around us, how could it be otherwise.

Our bio-computer becomes filled with virus, images and data that often has no basis in reality. When we are lied to by parents, governments, religions and if we believe the lie it causes a psychosis a break in reality, in other words we are not seeing reality with clarity. With out factual information and truth it makes it incredibly difficult for us to respond with any accuracy to what is taking place in our environment. A case in point after 911 we were motivated to war by the smoking gun, weapons of mass destruction and many other lies and we can now see the results of responding to inaccurate information. As a sailor can you imagine how believing in a flat world would effect you as a mariner.

We are the director of our own ship in life but far to often the map is giving us inaccurate data, so we end up broken on the rocks, the script has been written without factual information.

Being born into a dysfunctional reality is frightening for the child for they sense in feeling but with out the ability to perceive objectively or critically the lies that they are being given. The natural response to protect them self is by disconnecting from their feelings and inner knowing they begin to believe they are the problem. So they will be accepted and loved by the people in the environment they find themselves in, they begin to give up there innate knowing, the self is abandoned.

The result of this abandonment is resentment; anger the individual feels inadequate and many times has a deep sense of despair. If not repaired is some manner there will be depression that results from the feelings that they are unable to direct their lives in a way that brings well being and joy. Some will crate a false sense of their personal power or a grandiose personality will often emerge to compensate for the feelings of inadequacy we become incredibly inventive trying to bring our self back to a sense of connection. Some would call this ego, ego is never the problem it is the feeling and beliefs behind the ego, ego is but a reflection of the inner belief systems.

The ability to see dysfunctions in the cultural systems is difficult for we feel out of agreement with the status quo when we acknowledge and abnormality. The response from people is often anger and resistance and we can feel that maybe we are out of touch even though everything points to a malfunctioning system of belief and action.

Psychology as and example is a system of belief that mostly does not solve problems but in fact increases them we often end up in a never ending state or analyzing and increase our feeling of guilt because we are not good enough or smart enough to make the system work.

So what is the solution to this disconnection, there is no one solution but more often methods that do not have dogmatic attachments to how we should be and act have a more holistic effect.

Body movement is paramount because it helps to reconnect us to the larger mind, for body is mind every cell is a brain and connected to our environment. Yoga, Thi Chi, Qui Gong, Dance and even walking help us get back in touch with feeling and movement.

Meditation is also at the top for bringing stability and peace of mind. Meditation cause the body mind to move into a state of homeostasis and balance in this state the body mind regenerates and important process takes place in that we begin to understand that the mental chatter is not who we are but is a part of our software and metal downloads of information, beliefs, conditioning and controlled input.

Understanding that we are not our beliefs is a major leap in understanding it gives us a wedge to liberate our self from conditioning and we begin to shed the fear that we will die if we change our beliefs.

The next state is to reconnect with memory much of our memory especially of childhood is most often suppressed, hidden and disconnected from. This is often the most difficult because we have developed a large amount of barriers and protection to not recall the feeling of the past.

Many have fear of fear not only are they afraid but also afraid to feel the fear thinking it will kill them or in the least harm them is some way. A man will often try to suppress fear thinking it is cowardly.

Fear in its natural form is a protector, a warning a biological response to danger or the possibility of danger. When warped as it has been in most civilized cultures it becomes a controller a devise for religion, governments and parents to control the child. Is it any wonder that we fear the feeling of fear.

The intellect can be a major instrument to undue this fear of fear by using our objectivity, we acknowledge that we are feeling fear of meeting new people as and example and at the same time pay attention to what really happens when we meet new people. We don’t let the fear stop us from the motorcycle ride but we observe what actually happens on the trip.

To observe with out judgment develops self awareness and by observing our internal dialog and physical feeling sends the message to our mind body system that we are no longer afraid of who and what we are. Mind fullness will begin to dismantle the cultural conditioning.

The repressed fear hooks us to the past conditioning, we respond to reality as if it were a threat. We look for smoking guns and it is easy for governments to get us to believe in and imagined treat. Some will become perfectionist believing this will liberate them from the fears and anxiety they often bounce from elated control to depression when their ideals cannot be attained.

We often have anger and resentment that our parents, teachers and guides screwed up our lives. Then we seek to blame and punish, of course this keeps us hooked to the past pain, anger, resentment and guilt for not having been good enough. It becomes and endless circle of the same even when we change locations, jobs and spouses.

How to let it go, this is another major key in reconnecting. Release the past. How?

First realize that all teachers, parents, guides of any and all kinds were coming from there own limited conditioning and beliefs. Let me say that again how they responded to you and the environment was a product of their limited beliefs and understanding. A sailor cannot respond with accuracy as a navigator if they believe in a flat world, a teacher teaches guilt because they believe it will help the individual become a better person even though it does psychological harm. People respond and act according to their beliefs and conditioning, extremely few think out of their programmed box.

Lets say it again the people in your past were coming from a place of limited understanding, that insight can cause us to shift from blame to compassionate understanding, plus help to release us from resentment and liberate our self from perfectionism and guilt.

A Little Deeper Now. Remember how you learned to walk or talk, more than likely not. You used repetition imagination monkey see monkey do you failed fell skinned your knees said the word improperly all the failures led to success and eventually you walked talked and communicated with your environment as you do now automatically, you no longer have to think about it, you just do it.

This is why a statement repeated over and over again will become a part of your inner consciousness and responses in life, some call it and affirmation. The fact is you have all kinds of inner unconsciousness affirmed beliefs that you have totally forgotten about, they are automatic like walking.

You can us this one or something similar that will help you shift not just your intellect but also your emotional responses, remember e-motion means energy in motion.

“They were doing the best they could with the understanding, awareness and knowledge they had. I release the past with love. I move forward with confidence and joy knowing all is well in the present and future”.

Memorize this statement, repeated it while falling asleep at night or during day anytime. Do this for 30 days till it becomes a part of your subconscious mind, the beneficial results will amaze you, it will help to love your self on a deeper level, to the degree that we have resentment and anger toward the past we also have in equal amounts toward our self, just as important it will liberate you, free you to move more creatively without continually being hug up in fixing people and situation in your past or present. It will free you to be creative right now in the here and now.

Healing Prostrate Problems

We know as a fact that stress is a main contributor to heart disease, high blood pressure, ulcers and a host of many other diseases.

But is it also a major contributor to diseases such as arthritis and prostrate problems?

Stress creates the body to be up tight when any area of the body is up tight it receives less blood supply and of course less oxygen, conversely when our stomach is tight from worry or fear and if we take a few minutes to breath deeply into it, our stomach begins to loosen and relax.

In fact relaxation can become a conditioned response such as the person who meditates twice a day for a period of months or even years, they can relax at the drop of the hat, children do this naturally they haven’t yet developed the worry response and the many other beliefs that cause adults to be up tight.

So what does this have to do with the prostrate, if you have prostrate problems such as difficulty urinating you will note that your lower stomach and pelvic area is tight, What causes the tension is many things and belief plays a major part in it.

How does belief play a role in the stress of the pelvic area quite simple really but first lets establish how belief interacts with the body mind structure.

Joe believes that black people or Mexicans are dangerous he grew up in a family that believed this so now when he sees blacks or Mexicans he automatically feels suspicion, if he were in a public place and a black man smiled at his girl friend it would no doubt bring up anger and fear.

The person who is afraid of snakes gets very up tight at the sight of a snake or it could be spiders dogs or what ever. Conversely some people love snakes others will let a tarantula spider walk on them. Belief not only carries a thought but also a feeling.

The point of this is way more simple than most realize, beliefs that contain thought and ideas about human sexuality also cause feelings in the body, guilt of sex causes restriction in the pelvic area in fact it is possibly the main cause of sexual dysfunction. Conversely thoughts and ideas of sexual interplay can bring feelings of arousal. Your mind and body are one thoughts feeling and ideas cause a physical response, the mere idea that men over a certain age begin to have prostrate problems can indeed ad to the dysfunction especially for the person who worries on this.

Besides the techniques that I am going to teach you for unblocking the pelvis is it also a good idea if you examine your beliefs about sexuality, here is another dysfunctional belief that the western world carries about human sexuality that by 60 or 70 the male is mostly finished in his sexual response, I remember in my youth older men saying enjoy it while you can it won’t last forever.

Strange belief since some cultures men are still fathering children well into there seventies and eighties, read up on a culture in East Pakistan called Hunza.

The Breath of Life, this is a simple method to break up the blockage in the pelvic area, oxygen brings life to the organism it also brings the vital current some call Chi, this energy brings change, healing and also and unblocking of life energy.

When you move more energy in the pelvic area you will not only feel more alive but also more sexual and sensual, and of course a heightening of sexual desire.

It may take seven to ten days of doing this exercise to begin to feel the changes, some will feel change almost immediately.

Best time to implement this process is in the morning just soon after waking up lie on you back hands place palm down flat on your stomach just below the belly button, inhale into your hands feel your hands rise a bit, this is and easy breath not something forced.

When you exhale imagine that you are exhaling into that spot between the genital and anus, do this fifteen to twenty breaths after a week or so expand to twenty five to thirty five breaths.

Yes its that simple within ten to fifteen days you will being to feel more opening in the pelvic area, while standing at the urinal if you are having difficulty urinating breathe deeply into the pelvis several times this will often release the tension and urine will begin to flow.

This method is ancient developed by the practitioners of Chi Kung and yes I have personally used it to heal sexual dysfunction.

This is NOT a suggestion to not visit a medical practitioners in case of a prostrate problem.
